Group Therapy Practice

A Case Study

Freedom Fighters Therapy was ready to scale nationally and serve clients via telehealth. A complete rebrand supported the goals of this fast-growing mental health practice.

THE EMPASSIONED BRAND CHALLENGE:

Stigma surrounds military members who seek therapy for mental health.  Knowing this, how would founder and director, Jeralyn Tharp, fulfill her brand purpose? She needed a respectful, inviting website to speak to the hearts and minds of Vets with PTSD.

How We Helped

Brand Strategy

Relationship Storytelling

It started with understanding the deep fears, hopes, and dreams of military vets. Equally important was to extract the founder’s origin story, philosophy, and distinctive process.

From there, we developed a detailed hero’s journey story to focus on the relationship between “the wounded hero” and “the healer”.  Moving images and words were pulled from the story to form the brand’s essence and elements.

New Distinctive Brand Elements

New Logo.  We offered several versions of a logo, which enabled securrent and former clients to vote on their favorite.

New Brand Name.  To bring instant clarity to this niched target audience, we assisted with renaming the practice from  “This is what Freedom Feels Like” to  “Freedom Fighters Therapy.”

Functionality

  • We installed a digital assistant for healthcare that reviewed and allow for insurance checks, scheduling and payment information so that clients could be seen as quickly as possible.

SEO from the Start.

  • Keyword research and on-site SEO supported vets on their digital search journey to find Freedom Fighters therapy.

RESULTS

”I literally cried when I saw the website.  It was BEYOND amazing.”  says Jeralyn. At Freedom Fighter’s Therapy, military vets can now get more personalized attention and therapy for PTSD outside the government VA center.
